Grizzly & Cub
Grizzly bears are fascinating creatures. They are massive, territorial mammals that can weigh up to 1300 lbs! Roughly half the weight of some Honda Civics. In earlier times, grizzly cubs stayed with their mothers for almost a year and a half before venturing out on their own in life. However, recent pressure from hunting has resulted in many grizzly cubs staying with their mothers for an additional year before going through life on their own. This piece beautifully displays the mother and cub together during those crucial growing days where the cub will do its best to learn from the mom before having to face its own challenges in life. In that aspect, they aren’t much different from humans.
