US Army Sniper
The one thing that strikes fear into the hearts of infantrymen is a sniper. When a single shot rings out and nowhere knows where it came from, panic sets in on a level that most have never experienced before. In the United States, sniping was used all the way back during the Revolutionary War. In 1777 in a place called Saratoga, Colonials hid in wooded areas and orchards and shot at British officers from fairly long ranges at that point in time. As time passed and technology changed, our snipers started engaging targets from several hundred yards to even a mile away! This piece is a great reminder of the skill and commitment of our US Army snipers.
