Sword Fish

We all have that one friend who disappears for a weekend and then resurfaces on Monday morning claiming that he “almost caught” a monster that was hundreds of pounds. When in reality he probably just hooked a turtle…or a tree limb. When it comes to swordfish, its hard to make that tale up. These creatures can weigh anywhere from 400 to 1100 lbs and can grow to be almost ten feet in length! They’re also incredibly fast in the water and are capable of speeds in excess of 50 miles per hour. You won’t find them in lakes, or ponds. If you want to snag one for yourself, you’re going to have to go do some deep-sea fishing….or purchase this and hang it on your wall.
