Running into a burning building in order to save someone else’s life is arguably one of the bravest things that you can do in life. We salute the brave men and women who serve the thin red line and risk life and limb to save the lives and property of others. The origins of fighting fires can be traced all the way back to ancient Rome in the Third Century. Historically, there’s evidence of some form of fire fighting in ancient Egypt but the first fire brigade was formed in Rome. Back then, they didn’t have the protective equipment or tools that are available today. Luckily technology has improved over time and we can now give our men and women a fighting chance when they engage a building engulfed in flames.
